Coming on board as worldbuilders, technology support and 3D asset creation, Augmented Pictures was tasked to create stylized characters and worlds to support director and playwright, Candrice Jones and her vision for a virtual stage play.
AVATARS
The characters of Beyond the Crossroads are a fusion of blues, jazz culture of the 40’s, modern hip-hop and Japanese anime. While using the power of HTC Vive Pro and the Oculus Quest, every character was driven by the spirit of a live actor performing in virtual reality.
WORLDS
Beyond the Crossroads is centered around parallel universes, Southern charm and driven by the blues.
